Vintage Boeing 727 turned into Hotel in Costa Rica
Most endings usually mean new beginnings. That’s exactly what happened with one vintage 1965 Boeing 727. This oldie was salvaged from San Jose airport-resting place and brought to new life by converting it into an exclusive hotel suite. Now, perching on a 50-foot pedestal this passenger jet has two luxurious air-conditioned bedrooms with queen sized beds, ocean view terrace and surrounding gardens.
The Boeing was originally bought by Joanne Ussary for $2,000.00. It cost her $4,000.00 to move the plane and $24,000.00 to renovate it, but now a one night stay alone costs between £200 and £250.
